Bring the Hygge of Summer Home this Winter

RAIS Stoves: warm and eco-friendly.

So, what is Hygge?

Hygge (pronounced HOOG-uh) is a Danish word which, roughly translated, means coziness. Much like the Pacific Northwest, Denmark has long, gloomy winters and the people there survive the dreariness by creating a bright, warm feeling at home. Candles, warm colors and good friends all contribute to the experience of hygge.

Now, after the record breaking summer we just had, coziness may be the last thing you’re worried about – but if you are thinking about using some of your $1500 in Energy Tax Credits on a wood stove this winter, now (before you feel cold) is exactly the time to start thinking about it! At Ecohaus, our favorite eco-friendly wood stove line is RAIS. Carefully handcrafted in Denmark by skilled craftsmen, nothing brings the authentic experience of hygge to your home like one of these!

RAIS stoves are some of the most efficient and least polluting stoves on the market. They are engineered to burn so efficiently that they even burn up most of the particulate matter in the smoke before it gets released into the air! This works so well that burning wood in a RAIS stove releases no more CO2 than would be released if that wood were naturally decomposing on the forest floor.

In addition to being great for Air Quality, their efficiency means that you can enjoy a hotter burning, longer lasting fire while using much less wood than most wood stoves!

How do you get one?

 It’s easy!

During our Healthy Savings Event (through September 7) we’re giving away a FREE RAIS Mino II wood burning stove worth $3690.00! The entry period ends on August 31, so hurry in to your local Ecohaus showroom to enter!  If you don’t trust your luck, you can place an order and take advantage of our Healthy Savings Offer of 10% OFF any RAIS Stove.
