A Timber Frame Home

Ecohaus has joined New Energy Works to supply finish materials to The Vermont Street Project in Portland.  This residential project is the result of nearly three decades in the business of custom timber work and environmentally sensitive construction. It is believed to be the first LEED H Platinum timber frame home in Oregon.  The project is a collaboration of design/build team members, reclaimed and natural materials, energy efficiency and recent technologies, and a craft intensive application a logical, achievable, and certainly at times difficult path when creating a home.

The home will be open to the public for tours in the fall of 2009.  There are also plenty of  opportunities to visit the site right now to see various finish materials being installed.  This Monday, August 17, Traditional Natural Plasters will demonstrate how the experts apply American Clay’s Loma, Enjarre and Marittimo onto the walls.

Where: 5078 SW Vermont St., Portland (Please park on the road and walk down the lane.)

When: Monday, August 17, All Day
